kilometer east of Port Elgin.
Google earth will provide directions to the Club from your doorstep.
- Buses/vans will park in the lot in front of the Club House.
- All other vehicles will park alongside the roads by the Golf Club.

Course: Is flat (NO HILLS) and will
be run on cut grass. Short spikes or racing flat are recommended.
Course walks: The course will open at 9:00 AM on Thursday
October 23rd.
The course will be closed at 10:45AM.

Entry Fee: $5.00 per athlete to a maximum
of $150 per school. Payment for entry fees is due on the day of the
race.

Medals 4th – 6th Ribbons
Teams:
1st Medals (5 per team) 2nd – 3rd Ribbons (5 per team)
1st Ribbons (5 per team) for top A Division team
Plaques: Team plaques for first place teams.
(1 for top AAAA/AAA/AA team and 1 for top A division team)
Teams with plaques from last year must return them.
Uniforms: All athletes must wear school
uniforms with IDENTICAL tops for their respective races.
Facilities: Portable washrooms. No
shelter. You may wish to bring tents.
There will be an area to pitch tents.
Food Booth will open at 9:00 AM. No change rooms available.
Scoring: The scores of the top 4 athletes
are added together. Lowest team score wins. Tiebreakers are determined
by the place of the 4th runners.
Blank stickers will be provided on race day.
OFSAA: The first two teams per division
and the top 3 individuals not on winning team, will advance to OFSAA.
Each qualifying school must send a coach to the registration building
to complete the OFSAA procedures.
OFSAA qualifying schools must submit on race day, 4 OFSAA forms:
(1) Eligibility form
(2) supervision form
(3) practice eligibility form,
(4) Rules of behavior
** All signed by your principal **
OFSAA Transfer Forms are also due if this affects your
school.
The CWOSSA organizing committee will cover entry fees to OFSAA.

Note:
o Please see OFSAA/CWOSSA eligibility regulations.
o Races are open to CWOSSA members only – full-time secondary
students.
o Ensure athletes are entered in the appropriate age category. (Check
OSR’s)
o Athletes may move up a category, but not down.
o Athletes must run in the age category they wish to compete in at OFSAA
o Athletes may only run one race at CWOSSA.
o Transfer students must meet OFSAA transfer criteria.

Protest Procedure: As per OFSAA protest
procedures, the Jury of Appeal will handle disputes, which do not fall
under the jurisdiction of the meet officials.
Order of priority: 1. OFSAA, 2. Athletics Canada, 3.
IAAF
A protest must be submitted in writing together with
a $25.00 fee (cash, no cheques, refundable, if the protest is upheld)
within 30 minutes of the positioning of results for that specific age
group to the meet director. Once all evidence is presented by the parties
involved, the protest committee will render a decision as soon as possible,
and the decision of the Protest Committee shall be final. Disqualification
for team clothing infraction is a non-protestable issue

Race Procedures:
Only registered athletes will be assigned numbers. Athletes without
numbers will not be allowed to race
School uniforms must be worn; all team members must wear identical tops.
This rule will be strictly enforced.
OFSAA rules and regulations apply.
Coaches will not be allowed to enter the start area.
To accommodate the large number of competitors in each event, each team
will be allowed TWO runners on the start line, remaining runners will
line up behind the first runners.
Calls will be given over the P.A. system PRIOR to each race.
Competitor numbers are to be placed on the front of the school top.
A competitor must compete in the same age class as he/she WILL at the
OFSAA Meet.
Results will be posted as soon as possible after each race and will
be posted on the web page at the conclusion of the event
Start Line Procedures:
Competitors will report to the start area 15 minutes prior to their
designated race start.
The Chief Starter will signal, "sweats off" following the
3 minutes to race time call.
A silent start to be used.
